"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil"

Without God, all people will fall victim to death. Death is to be separated from life and that is frightening. All human torments and corruptions are part of the process of death. Remove death from our future, and all of our past fears and failures are powerless to control us.

Evil has no power without intimidation. With death rendered harmless by the Resurrected Christ, what can we really lose? Eternal life is freedom. We are liberated by the Good Shepherd as we are led on righteous paths with unlimited blessing in Christ!

Death is the root of all fear. With death conquered in Christ, the power of fear is defeated too! If we allow the love of God to mature us, complete us, and make us whole, then the love of God breaks all control fear exercised over our behaviors and decisions.

Righteous paths take you to the other side of death. With anxiety behind you and light of Christ before you, your valley becomes a fruitful place. Without fear to poison you, the life of Jesus will manifest in and through you.

Father God, forgive us for hesitating because of anxiety and worry. Forgive us for being intimidated by evil. You have cast out fear and its torment by Your love! By Your Spirit, as sons of God, we eagerly embrace the path before us to freely give as we have freely received. With joy we declare it in the name of Jesus, our Great Shepherd. Amen!

Scriptural Context

Psalms 23:1-6 NKJV A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. (2) He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. (3) He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness, For His name's sake. (4) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. (5) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. (6) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.
